For care providers

Shift cover for care homes & domiciliary providers

Care-provider shifts run on a separate route from our family introductions: carers who work your shifts are employed by Independent Carer through in-house PAYE.

1. Onboard

Create a provider account with your organisation, CQC location and shift coordinator.

2. Post shifts

Add dates, times, location and the PAYE hourly rate to the shift board.

3. Compliant carers claim

Only carers whose compliance passport covers checks and mandatory training can claim.

4. Sign off & payroll

Your coordinator approves the digital timesheet; we pay the carer through PAYE.

Provider shifts — PAYE

Carer employed and paid by Independent Carer through payroll. Timesheets signed off by your coordinator. You are invoiced by us, not by the carer.

Family care — self-employed

Families are introduced to self-employed carers who set their own rates. Find a carer.

Provider charges are being finalised. Our pilot proposal is £2.50 per completed hour plus VAT on top of the carer's PAYE pay and employment costs — we'll confirm before your first shift.
